We Are Suffering Because Of Corruption And Bad Leadership- Ghanaians To Joy News

Poverty is hunting people leaving in Ghana and many institutions are trying to find out the main reasons why poverty is not going down as Ghana is moving forward.

Multimedia group led by Joy news has decided to ask Ghanaians that what do they think is the number one cause of poverty in Ghana.

"What do you think is the number one cause of poverty in Ghana?" They asked on #AMShow today on their social media wall.

According to Ghanaians, they suffering in the country because of many things but they centered on corruption and bad leadership.

Some people said that it is cause by our Educational system and explain that in our school system, we are taught to memorize and reproduce in exams but not taught on how we'll use what we're taught to better our lives, and there's limited level of vocational training with high tuition fees.

Some people reacts that the number one cause of poverty in Ghana is our collective greed which is closely followed by lack of proper planning. "There's every reason for a country with the citizenry who find it convenient to steal crush barriers from a newly constructed national road infrastructure to be poor" the person added.

"What else do you think causes poverty? When one person steals huge sums of money which can't be calculated in Cedis but in dollars" someone told Joy News team.

Some people said poverty in Ghana is cause by Tribalism, mediocre and selfishness from our leaders.

Another Ghanaian thought that it is cause by our own attitude. "Are our leaders not Ghanaians? We should stop blaming the leaders solely and take responsibility for our actions" he advised Ghanaians.

Some people too told Joy News that its because the poor produce more children than the rich which increase hardship and more irresponsibility of the parents.

"Lack of conscience on the part of our leaders. They don't even feel it when their actions are causing death and suffering" another Ghanaian stated.

"I personally think everything should be electronic. And it should be done for the ordinary Ghanaian in all various aspects of human activities through electronics. Most especially payments, so that people will not really hold cash. People visiting public toilets, refuse dumps, electricity, water etc all should be paid by the government through an enhanced and efficient tax payment system by all, so that the ordinary Ghanaian really has less to think of or worry about" another Ghanaian told Joy News on how to fight corruption amongst the people.
