It Is Disingenuous To Hear Complaints From NDC About Abandoned Projects By NPP - CPP Communicator

A communication team member of the CPP, Sylvester Soprano Sarpong, has taken a swipe at the NDC for their constant complaints of abandoned projects by the NPP. According to him, it is disingenuous to hear complaints from the NDC about abandoned projects by the NPP because they did the same thing when they were in power.

Sylvester Soprano Sarpong made this statement on 'Good Morning Africa' on Pan Africa television this morning, 26th November 2021, when he gave his opinion about abandoned projects by successive governments in Ghana.

According to Sylvester Soprano Sarpong, he thinks that it is sad and utterly disingenuous to hear complaints from the NDC about abandoned projects by the NPP.

This is because the NDC has been in power for such a long time and has had several opportunities to have resolved a lot of the abandoned project's issues in Ghana.

Sylvester Soprano Sarpong indicated that the issues of abandoned projects didn't just start today. He remembers when the late President Atta Mills was elected president at that time, one of the major projects that were ongoing in the country was the Accra- Kumasi highway which was being dualized.

The project was stopped under the leadership of President Atta Mills, and the reason stated was that NDC should focus on its policies made in its manifesto.

"Talking about abandoned projects and listening to the NDC, I'm again saddened because most of the members of the NDC were in the PNDC, but they are talking about abandoned projects. The PNDC sold off all our factories. They didn't just abandoned them, they even sold some of them off cheaply."

So, all that he meant to say is that what is happening with regards to abandoned projects has been ongoing in this country, and it is disingenuous for either of the two political parties to blame each other for the incident of abandoned projects in this country because it is a product of their actions.
