It looks as if anytime rain starts people begin to live in fear and panic all because billboards and flooding become the talk of the day especially in the Ashanti Region almost billboards collapse when it rains cats and dogs.
Information reaching this portal from Obuasi in the Ashanti Region isn't pleasant as a heavy billboard collapses in the late hours of yesterday Monday February 15, 2021 around 19:45GMT leaving some innocent persons in critical condition.
According to an eyewitness Pozo, the billboard is on record to have weak foundation, it boats have rusted and anytime win blows, it couldn't be seen shaking and dancing Kpanlogo, series of complaints have been made to the city authority but no serious attention has been given to it.
Due to negligence on the part of three cardinal agencies City Engineers, National Road Safety Commission and Ghana Police, yesterday there was a heavy down pour with storms as the billboard couldn't hold itself, unfortunately fell on two women operating in their containers by the roadside, if not divine intervention, the town would have record two deaths, currently as we speak their condition is very critical who are said to be receiving treatment at Obuasi Government Hospital.
Pozo added that, the heavy billboard in questioned which sustained the two with injuries has the inscriptions and image of the President Nana Akufo-Addo.
