Today, Johnnie Hughes recounted his sad ordeal at the Jubilee Park. He insisted that what was happening at Koforidua Jubilee Park was a clear indication of a lack of maintenance culture. The Jubilee Parks was one of the foresight of Former President Kuffour when Ghana celebrated its jubilee anniversary in 2007. Johnnie Hughes explained that what he saw at the Jubilee Park was so heartbreaking and that he could not come to term with it. He disclosed that the Regional Minister and other NPP people were present to see that yet everyone was silent. He stated that grass was forcing its way out of the pavement. Also, the roofing of a building in the park was totally destroyed. That one aside, there was no water or electricity supply at the place. There was a woman seller who charged people before they can charge their phones in front of the park. Johnnie Hughes sadly revealed that he was highly disgusted when he entered the washroom. The water closet was accumulated with "faeces" from previous weeks. He stated that the place was generally unkempt and that alone made him lose his appetite.
"My only crime was to visit the washroom", Johnnie Hughes.
