A woman in her 30s was crushed to death at Anloga Junction in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
A trailer with the registration number GM 9671-13 hit a Kia Pregio minivan with the number AS 3989-20 and a Nissan minivan with the number GW 9771-16.
Eight other passengers on both commercial buses were hurt, with four of them suffering serious injuries.
According to some of the victims, the trailer driver had a violent argument with one of the affected bus drivers from Boadi Junction earlier.
The trailer driver was overheard threatening to kill the other driver on the highway.

They confirmed that the dead, who had arrived at her location, was pulled by the trailer after the trailer driver purposefully slammed his truck into the other vehicles, instantly killing her.
The trailer driver and his companion are being held by the Oforikrom Police as part of the inquiry.
