Member of Parliament (MP) for Adentan Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, has donated five brand new Motorbike worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Adentan-Abokobi Police Command.
The donation of the motorbikes, according to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP forms part of his efforts to help improve security in the constituency.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with inghananews.com after the donation, the Adentan lawmaker explained that the rational behind his kind gesture to the Police Service comes from the number of logistical challenges the service is facing now.
Mr Ramadan was of the view that, the motorbikes will go a long way to enhance mobility and visibility of officers in black in the remotest parts of the Adentan constituency.
He stressed the need for individual and organisational support to the police since no individual or government can do it all.
"Our individual, as well as our collective security should be top most priority of our agenda. Hence my resolve to improved the security situation in the constituency." He indicated.
Mr Ramadan therefore, promised to do his bit to support the police in order to maintain peace and order as well as to protect lives and properties.
The motorbikes were received by the Adentan-Abokobi Divisional Commander, ACP Winful on behalf of IGP.
He thanked the MP for his immense support to Command and pledged to put motorbikes use.
ACP Winful however, appealed to individuals and corporate organizations to come to the aid of Divisional Command.
Currently the has initiated a self help divisional office complex which was inspected by the Adentan MP.
The Adentan-Abokobi Divisional Commander was very grateful to individuals and corporate organizations which have supported the project to its current stage.
He however, called for more support to enable the command complete the construction of the office complex, which he believes when completed will enhance the day to day administrative of the command.
The Adentan lawmaker, after the inspection of the project, pledged to support the command in which ever way he can to see the project completed.
