The residents of Atwima Koforidua in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Municipality have wailed over underdevelopment in the area.
Interacting with them, they said the only public toilet in their area is in a terrible state.
They said the stench from the toilet passes through the community and this is a result of a pipe beneath the lavatory.
We have informed the assemblyman, committee chairman, and other officials but nothing has been done about this menace, the residents said.
They disclosed that this issue has been in existence for over 6 years now and this has resulted in the contamination of numerous diseases.
We need help, residents of Atwima Koforidua argued.
During an interview with George Opoku Mensah (Agudey), morning show host for Opemsuo radio, Hon. Emmanuel Antwi, the assembly member for Atwima Koforidua Electoral Area, disclosed that he is not aware of the issue in the community but he vowed to help address them.
