
Sad information reaching Adom News this morning indicates that three (3) small-scale miners have lost their lives in a river after they were returning home from a mining site on a canoe.
According to the eyewitness's father named Isaac Yaw Donkor, he went with a group of small-scale miners to dig for gold on his land.
When the group of small-scale miners was returning from the site including Isaac Yaw Donkor, they left four (4) miners behind and Isaac's son was among the three (3).
After the four (4) miners were done with their tasks, they on board a canoe to return home.
Unfortunately, the canoe capsized and Isaac's son who was among the three (3) miners swam successfully out of the river but the three (3) miners died because they did not know how to swim.
This incident occurred in the Ashanti Region.
