Sad: Dampare Will Serve Just For This Number Of Day.

It was a great honor to have the acting IGP, now IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare sworn in as the IGP of the Ghana Police Service. His appointment as acting IGP saw him introduce several initiatives and programs to the Ghana Police Service.

From the Jubilee house where the swearing in ceremony was held, the President, Nana addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo reiterated the point that he would serve for the next 4 years. Meaning, his term of office would end at the end of the 4th year. That being said, it would be sad to bid farewell to an IGP touted as one of the best IGPs ever even while serving as an acting IGP, and the youngest, after 4 years.

To break it down it terms of days, assuming 365 days are in a year, George Akuffo Dampare will serve as IGP for 1,460 days starting from tomorrow. Time flies and so four years could be like it was only yesterday.

For most Ghanaians, looking at what he has done so far, his term of office should go beyond the 4 years, to help the Police Service provide thw best of service to the citizenry.
