Parts of Accra have experienced raining since 4th June, 2021. This has led to parts of Accra flooded leaving waste scattered on streets. Due to the poor drainage systems in the Capital of Ghana, there has been catastrophe in some parts of Accra after the down pour.
In Darkuman, there is no free passage of the rain water since the gutters are choked with plastic waste. The rain water is stagnant together with plastic bags, bottles as well as other materials.
Some residents have complained bitterly about the nature of the community after the down pour while others have decided to tidy the community.
In some parts of Dansoman, the rain water has flooded a road mostly used by vehicles. Due to this, residents cannot ply the road.
