The Ghana Police service has dropped a public notice to Ghanaians on social media. They disclosed that Accra and Tema Metropolitan areas witnessed a heavy downpour and as such, some areas have been inundated in flood. They revealed that some areas have experienced heavy traffic as a result of this flood.
Having updated Ghanaians with all these facts, they boldly declared that all Ghanaians must remain indoors. They added that no one must get out except if they had any relevant issue to tackle outside.
"Those who do not have anything important to do outside are advised to stay indoors."
They urged all drivers to drive cautiously and also to avoid driving through flooded areas.
This recent development under the Ghana Police Service is a matter that deserves praise. Initially, they did not update Ghanaians on such issues. However, under the watchful vigilance of COP Dampare, everything is changing for the better.
