The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) will on the 18th of May begin an exercise to remove all illegal occupants and encroachers at the Graphic Road in the Geater Accra Region. However, according to the plan, the exercise will comments from the Farisco Junction to Obetsebi Interchange to ensure free flow of vehicle and traffic.
Henry Quartey, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, and Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, speaking at a meeting with stakeholders on the impending clean-up exercise along the Graphic Road at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), said that the exercise will ensure discipline in the city.
He, therefore, charges all corporate institutions within the capital to help support the initiative.
The meeting which took place involved a lot of stakeholders and personalities including the Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Mr. Mohammed Nii Adjei Sowah, and his staff, representatives of the Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana Immigration Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, and the Motor Traffic and Transport Directorate (MTTD).
