The disaster which occurred within the course of the week is reported to have claimed many lifes and also the dispersal of the residents. This was after a vehicle which had explosives inside of it unfortunately got involved in an accident resulting in the detonation of the explosives it was carrying. The incident has injured many people who are receiving treatment currently.
The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners, Mr Ibrahim Mahama, has this afternoon sent 5,000 bags of rice, 5,000 tins of Mackerel and 1,000 gallons of oil to residents of Appiate, near Bogosu who were hit by the explosion disaster caused by the truck. After pictures of his donation circulated online, many citizens of Ghana have applauded for Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for taking that bold step to compensate the bereaved persons in the town.
