NIA boss has disclosed to the general public that those who are trying to use passports to register their Sim card should stop because it cannot be used to register Sim cards anymore except the Ghana card issued which generated a lot of arguments across the country.
When NIA boss made this statement known, majority of Ghanaians fumes at him and told him that NIA has disappointed them because if they know that passports isn't important, why do they accepted it in the first place for registration?
Franklin Cudjoe in statement to Ghanaians today, 5th October, 2021 stated that "I understand from the NIA, that the reason passports cannot be used for re-registration of SIM cards is that they found out a few passport holders who tried registering for the Ghana Card were not Ghanaian".
After that he mocked that them with a controversial statement which states that "however, they accepted the passports of many others as legitimate proof of citizenship and identity".
Franklin Cudjoe statement is trying to exposed that if government is going to do something which they may need advise from Ghanaians, they should listen and try it because they accepted the passports of many others as legitimate proof but today, they are denying those who holds that card for registration of Sim cards which is not fair.
