I can not even afford 20gh for my son's textbook- Sad story of a shoemaker

A man called Fosu Gyan who is a shoemaker at Aburi. He said, he has been a farmer and shoemaker for the past 6 years. When he was young, he was staying with his elder brother who was a headmaster at Nkawkaw. He was not intelligent so he could not complete school. He wanted to be a driver but his brother sent him to learn shoemaking.

Unfortunately, his brother died and he didn't get any one to help him. He got married and gave birth to 4 children, but the woman died 15 years ago when his eldest son was 11 years. After the death of his wife, life has not been easy for them. His eldest son has completed school and he is learning steelbending work and the fourth child too is in S.H.S 1. He called him 3 days ago that he needs 20gh to buy textbooks but he was not having money. He told him to borrow money from his friends to buy the textbooks. When he get some money he will send it to him.

Mr Ofosu said he earns 15gh a day, the family depends on that money until the next day. He said there was a time when he went to a man's house to repair his shoe and a dog bite him. The man gave him 400Gh to go hospital, now he is okay but sometimes when he walks for a long time he feels pain is his leg. He said if he gets 150Gh, he will buy a table and do the shoemaking at one place.
