Flooding cases have been one of the top challenges the country is going through anytime it rains. National Disaster Management Organization [NADMO] has been doing their best to put a stop to these issues but their best has not been enough following the sad incident which just happened at Kumasi and other places in the country.
According to the NADMO operation director Atwima Kwawuma who spoke with Joy News reporter revealed the incident can be preventable. In his explanation reveals, the trench the water pass-through is not big and it has been blocked. So whenever it rains the water cannot have free access which resulted in this heavy flood in the area.
According to the NADMO Operation Director, they have put measures in place to stop these floods, and also those who were affected by this heavy rainstorm have been moved to different locations.
