Report reaching the various media houses is that the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council have demolished/devastated if Illegal structures at Graphic Road,Odawna and Accra Central.
This comes after several notice of demolition was announced to them by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) prior to the demolition. This act by the assembly has rendered a lot of the inhabitants of the structures homeless.
This is not the first time such an incident has happened. Last year, during the lockdown, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) demolished some structures. The assembly received a lot of backslash from the public because they wanted the Assembly to wait for the pandemic to go down before taking that decision.
The affected people are lamenting of their predicament to the government and general public to come to their aid.
In my opinion, the government should have given them a small amount of money as compensation to the affected people.
