The story of the Takoradi kidnap has generated nationwide conversation. In the midst of the conversation lies confusion and shock. Ghana police and the Western Regional Minister has come out to declare that the woman- Josephine Panyin was not pregnant as at the time she claimed to be kidnapped. Again, the regional minister, Mr Otchere Darko added that the kidnap case was a hoax.
Now, this is the shock of our lives. How can a woman fake pregnancy for 9 months just to be kidnapped for ransom? The Western regional minister has also disclosed that he paid GHS3,000 for Josephine to be released. So, all the 9 months pregnancy drama was intended for an amount this small?
Well, as the conversation continues to make headlines, I have soliloquized and one question that baffles my attention is- why would a 9month pregnant woman be allowed to go jogging at 5 am? I mean, there are many exercises one can do to ease delivery but jogging in your month of delivery is outrageous.
In my first article about this matter, I blasted the husband for allowing the woman to go jogging at 5 am. I also suggested to the husband some other methods that normal people use to keep their pregnant wives healthy and have easy delivery- jogging at dawn was just a pity.
But all these kinds of information eat into confirming what the police and regional minister is saying.
