Report reaching from the Central Region has it that, gunmen numbering about three have shot a mobile money vendor and bolted away an amount of GHC 30,000.
The incident happened on Wednesday evening at Gomoa Akoti in the Gomoa East District of Central Region.
The victim, Ebenezer Amoquandoh 31 year old businessman escaped his death after he was shot twice in his left thigh.
“The robbers carried out their operations with pump action guns”, Ebenezer Amoquandoh the victim revealed.
According to the victim, the armed men numbering up to 3 made several attempt to collect an amount of GH 30,000 from him which he resisted until he was shot twice in the left thigh and that paved way for the robbers to run away with his money.
The victim Ebenezer Amoquandoh was rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialized Hospital and was treated and discharged.
The police in the Gomoa Ojobi District has launched investigation into the robbery incident to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
