"Witty" Nana Agradaa finds a safe haven.

Ghanaians live by only one rule: “Beat the system and take advantage of it”. Earlier this week, a shocking announcement came from the camp of Nana Agradaa, a popular fetish priestess whose dealings came under severe scrutiny. The press conference came after the police arrested her twice within a week. The “Sika Gari” priestess declared she is now a convert and identifies as Evangelist Patricia Oduro Kwarteng.

We can say Ghana has only two trump cards: religion and politics. With these tactics, you are over 80 percent chance of getting away with any wrongdoing. For politicians, we have already psyched ourselves about the new normal. You might have heard many of such incidents. Because of religious hypnosis, we respect “faith” leaders more than our own constitution and conscience. They hide behind sacred books, do whatever they want, and receive no punishment because we are too dumb to even recognize.

Agradaa is now playing the “Christian” card and it will surprise no one if she doesn’t go down for duping and misleading the public, even after the open confession. She is playing the system; a Ghanaian indeed.
