Ghanaian citizens on social media have told the chief of Abesim in the Bono Region Region that his plot to defend the indefensible will yield no results. Nana Barima Kumi Ancheaw has been told to allow the suspected gruesome murderer to face the full rigors of the law.
This follows a revelation by the Chief that Mr Richard Gyamfi, the suspected murderer is not mentally stable. According to the chief, Richard Gyamfi has had past records of mental instability and hence they are convinced that Richard Gyamfi did the dastardly act not out of his own will but probably due to the mental illness.
He therefore urged the inspector general of police to conduct a psychiatric examination on him before he is innocently punished.
Meanwhile, this revelation of the chief did not go down well with Netizens as they believe that the ever growing Impunity of heinous crime offenders is gradually moving Ghana into a state of lawlessness. And so they believe that the said murder must be made to face the law since they suspect it is ploy by the said chief to get this criminal out of any pending punishment.
They believe that it is only a mentally sound person that will try to hide lifeless bodies in a fridge after.committingsuch a crime in order to prevent being caught.
Mr Richard Gyamfi is also believed to be a sports journalist, a profession not meant for mental disabled people. Therefore, they urge the police to let the law have its way regardless of any unwarranted plea from any traditional ruler to overturn the case to suit them.
