A letter has been written to the Ashanti Regional Education Director to present the Headmaster/Headmistress or the Assistants, Domistic Bursars, Accountants, and Storekeepers in the various Senior High Schools for CID probes over an alleged Corruption in the school feeding programme. According to the information reaching us, there are about 53 Senior High School heads in the Ashanti Region that have been invited by the Criminal Investigations Department over an alleged Corruption in the school feeding programme. Some of the schools are Prempeh College, Adu Gymfi SHS, Kumasi Girls SHS, S.D.A. SHS,Agona and others. Below are exactly what is in the purported letter.
“Management has received a letter from the CID of the Ghana Police Service, which indicates that they are investigating some issues related to the supply of food items to some of the Senior High Schools in your Region".
" You are hereby directed to request the respective District Directors of Education to release the Headmaster/Mistress or the Assistants, Domistic Bursars, Accountants and Storekeepers of the attached list of schools to the CID for investigation if requested.

GES in the letter asked the District Directors to co-operate and collaborate fully with the CID in carrying out the investigations.
