In the Greater Accra Region, where the Police in Ada arrested nine suspected illegal immigrant from Nigeria, who entered Ghana through unapproved views. According to the Ada district police command, followed a tip-off in which they acted on a rumour that some Nigerian believed to be fugitives were in Ghana. The reportedly entered Ada for accross the river moved to Accra.
The nine including a female were eventually intercepted at clinic junction lorry station. And therefore unboard a sprinter bus registered (ER 16-41-14). The suspects were later identified and with their age respective as Emmanuel Oduna chidoze(27), Steve Ayeniku(33), Kelly okureni(33), freedom(25), Obi Nura(38), Patrick(47) and Bless Ayeniku(25). Items found on them include cash and both Ghana and foreign currencies. Personal belongings are passport and ID cards. All suspects are in custody to assist investigations and will be handed over to the Ghana immigration Service for further investigation and action.
After the investigation, The Ghana immigration service send them back to Nigeria. For Nigerian constitution to deal with them. The Nigerian IGP stated on his speech that " They were indeed the nine criminals who escaped from prison. And for that matter they can face death sentence according to the rule of law in Nigeria".
