It is extremely wrong to teach children violence. There is a difference between creating a funny video online to entertain your fans and teaching a child how to be violent. There is nothing funny about this video. This video was posted on Facebook by a Facebook user known as Stalon Griffey. According to his Facebook profile, he is a Choreographer, Afrodancer and Hip-hop Dancer.
He actually posted this video making fun out of this it but there is nothing about what is in this video. Children mostly learn by copying from adults. If at this age a child is being trained how to offer Islamic prayer with a cutlass, what will happen when she comes of age.
Looking at the pictures below, a woman and her daughter were praying but there are two cutlasses in front of them. After praying, the woman picks the cutlass and point it towards her throat. With all these actions, the child was copying it stage by stage.
This is a clear example of child abuse. As many Ghanaians can remember, the Ghanaian actress and entertainer, Rosemond Alade Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo landed in trouble for taking a nude picture with his little son. She was sentenced to prison for that act. What this woman is doing in this video is more than what Akuapem Poloo did.
How can you make such a video with your little daughter? The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection and the Ghana Police Service must go after this woman to explain what she is trying to portray in this video. She must be punished to serve as a deterrent to others.
A Facebook user known as Nicholas Baiden said that "What is this woman teaching this child? Violence? Is a shame".
