The incumbent Regional Minister for Volta Region, Dr Archibald Y. Letsa has taken unto his Facebook account to appreciate two gentlemen in his region. He said that these two gentlemen put up their resources together to put up a Self-Help Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Zone/Compound.
This project can be found in Xavi, a community in the Akatsi South Municipality, Volta Region. The financiers of this project are Mr Joseph Koku Horgle, Chief Executive Officer of J.K. Horgle Transport and Company Ltd and Dr John Koku Awoonor, a Medical Officer and Consultant.
Dr Archibald Y. Letsa commissioned this project on Thursday, 14th October 2021. In his address, he highly commended Mr Joseph Koku Horgle and Dr John Koku Awoonor for their kind gesture and pleaded with other wealthy people to follow in the footsteps of these philanthropists.
He also commended the financiers for the support they provide communities in the Akatsi South Municipality. Meaning, this is not the only kind gesture they have provided for the people in Akatsi South Municipality. He said, "There is no doubt that the contributions of successful people in the provision of social amenities in their communities complement the Government's effort in the development of communities".
Dr Archibald Y. Letsa seized the opportunity to commend nurses and other healthcare professionals who accepted postings to serve the Xavi Community. He indicated that they exhibited the spirit of sacrifice and commitment to the health profession which must be emulated by other healthcare professionals.
