Sierra Leonean IGP Visits Dampare To Learn His Tactics

It appears the good works of Ghana's Inspector General Of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akkufo Dampare in dealing with crime is attracting interest from his colleagues in the African Continent.

Yesterday, October 12th, 2021, the Sierra Leonean Inspector General Of Police, Dr. Ambrose Michael Sovula paid a courtesy call on Dr. Dampare at the National Police Headquarters.

The visit was to enable the two Police heads learn from each other in the area of crime fighting.

The two discuss issues relating to best practices in Community oriented policing, exchange programs for personnel and other matters affecting the security of both Ghana and Sierra Leone.

The two Police heads also proposed a Memorandum of understanding (MOU), on law enforcement for consideration by their respective governments to foster stronger bilateral relations.

This is the first visit after Dr. Dampare was sworn in as the substantive IGP by President Akufo-Addo having acted for some time.

Within the few Months as acting IGP, he has received a lot of commendations from Ghanaians for his tactics in dealing with armed robbery in the Country.
