Good news has finally befallen the people of the Western Region. It would be recalled a nine-month-old pregnant woman was declared missing after she went jogging around her house.
The people of the western region started searching but to no avail. But there is currently good news. News coming in indicates that the lady, Josephine Panyin Simons has been found in another town. The twenty-eight-year-old lady was found in a sad condition. A young man who reported the good news from Axim in the Western Region indicated that she was seen lying down at the outskirt of the community helplessly in a pool of blood when they met her.
Dirt was all over her body and blood was oozing from parts of her body. The nine-month-old pregnancy with which she left home seems to have been tampered with but no one can tell what actually happened.
The young people and other indigenes quickly sent her to the Axim government hospital where she is currently receiving treatment. The young men found her in a sorry state but it is only doctors who can reveal her true condition of health. For now, there is jubilation in Takoradi and Axim after news of her being found broke. Her immediate family including the husband are yet to follow up to see her current state.
After she was kidnapped by unknown men last week Thursday, a call was placed to the husband, Mr. Simons to pay a ransom. The kidnappers later called and indicated that they are no more interested in her so the husband should come for her. However, they refused to indicate the location she was left. The traumatized husband became helpless and the police intervened to help the situation.
She is currently receiving treatment and the prayers are that she will be able to sustain the pain and trauma. For now, she has not indicated where she was sent to and what happened to her. The sad aspect of the entire incident is that she was kidnapped from Takoradi and has been found at Axim which is quite a long distance. The big question many are asking is that the police barriers should have detected the kidnapping.
