Touring Odawna Garages with the Minister for Works and Housing and his team. We met with the Executives of the Garages Association. This was following a meeting with him at the Ministry on steps being taken to mitigate the effects of the rains (and perennial floods) on the lives and livelihoods of the workers and residents. This is to help facilitate that all residents should be safe from any from of occurance that might happen anything soonHer visit was to ensure the expansion of drainage which links to the river in other avoid flooding during the raining season.
She also educated the residents to desist from throwing garbage in the river which might cause a great flood. The minister of Work and housing and his team also pledged to do everything within their power to make sure the expansion will done within the shortest possible time.
The NADMO boss also commended the idea which will help reduce the risk of flooding.
