The Tema Motorway is prone to road accidents almost on weekly basis and many people always blames the nature of the road whiles others too blames it on reckless driving anytime an accident occurs.
However, a trailer vehicle with the registration number GN 3161-09 was carrying crates of empty beer bottles from Tema, heading to Accra with the motive of disposing the empty bottles to the customers.
When the driver of the trailer vehicle got to the Tema Motorway near Adjei underpass, the vehicle unfortunately skidded off the road and fell into a huge gutter which is said to be the major storm drain at the Tema Motorway and the crates of empty beer bottles also blasted.
The driver died immediately after the trailer vehicle fell into the gutter but the mate (friend) sustained a serious injury and was rushed to the Tema general hospital for treatment.
The reports from the doctors at Tema general hospital indicates that, the mate is struggling between life and death and if care is not taken, he might join the driver.
