The Ghana Police with within the last 24 hours has arrested 6 suspects for robbery and murder.
The press release which was posted on the official facebook page of Ghana police was signed by Kwesi Ofori, Assistant Commissioner of Police. A-G Director General, Public Affairs.
According to the press release, preliminary investigation from the Asante region indicates that Poku Kofi, Dennis Atta Asamoah Sr, Dennis Atta Jnr- all drivers' mate, Asante Edward allegedly stabbed and snatched the hand bag of one Sherif Yakubu a 2-year- old apprentice hair dresser, now deceased at Kumasi Academy SHS(KUMAKA) Junction, while on her way to Asokore Manpong. She was rushed to Manhyia Hospital but died shortly on arrival.
The release explains that in another case in the savanna region, suspect Dauda Appiah, Yusif Abdullah allegedly robbed their victim of his gold-detecting machine at gun point at Telekura. Other accomplices are currently on the run. A search conducted on them led to the discovery of an empty shell of G3 ammunition, a single burrel gun and a cutlass.
The suspect were arrested through intelligent led operation and are currently in police custody the statement added
