A young couple in Kasoa was brutally assaulted by the police which has left the wife with a high degree of injury. According to the couple, the police suddenly bagged into their residence and met the husband on the phone speaking with someone.
Eyewitness reports gathered by Kessben FM’s reporter Kwaku Asiedu said the police went straight to the husband who was speaking on phone and started attacking him. The wife could not phantom why her husband was being attacked and thus questioned the police about the attack. Some of the policemen then turn to the wife and brutally assaulted her leaving her with her arm broken.
The wife has since been battling for her life after she was beaten to a pulp by the police. After she was discharged from the hospital, a team of policemen came to the residence to compensate her with GHC2000. In the past few days, there have been so many police excesses in Ghana as the citizenry are frequently attacked by the men in bluecoats for no justifiable reasons.
