Hon. Amoako Gyampa, Asante Akim Domeabra Assembly Member in the Asante Akim South Constituency, On 14th May, 2023, organised a mother's day program for all teenage girls in the Domeabra Township.
The program was designed to educate mothers and young girls about the importance of responsible motherhood in society.
According hon. Amoako Gyampa, "the program is aimed at empowering women and teenage girls to higher heights and promoting womens sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choice and their right to influence social change for themselves and others".
Hon. Amoako Gyampah added to the books that, women have contributed greatly to the history of our economy and therefore must be celebrated in a grand style.
"My mother has played a major role to my current status as the Assemblyman of this community and im really proud of her", said Hon. Amoako Gyampa
Speaking at the program were, Hon Beatrice Kyei, the presiding member for Asante Akim South, Hon. Rosina Ansah Bekoe, the NPP women's organiser, Mrs Mildred Ama Kwakye, the Education Director for Asante Akim North, Erudite Foundation and Mr. Kpedo Williams who represented the headmaster of the Owerriman Senior High School.

Their presence was inspiring and educating.
As part of the program arrangement, each teenage girl was given a sanitary pad each and also had snacks. The parents of the beneficiaries thanked the Honourable Assemblyman for his kind gesture
The program ended successfully.
The program saw a massive attendant of the teenage girls and parents in the Domeabra Township.
