The entire community of Ekpu, a vicinity in the half Assini town of the Western Region is currently in a state of mourning after the death of a beautiful young lady was announced. The entire community is in black and red to mourn the death of one of their own.
The beautiful lady who goes by the name Freda Tachie Danquah is very popular in the area due to her skills in modeling. Residents see her as a celebrity model who has over the years gained a lot of respect from both the young and old. She has as well become a role model to some young people there but since death is inevitable, she has gone to her maker through bizarre circumstances of a road accident.
Road accidents have over the years become a national problem killing a lot of people, the police and the road safety commission have signaled drivers, in particular, to abide by the traffic regulations but most drivers have turned deaf ears to the education. Road accidents are doing more harm than good in the country.
The late Freda Tachie Danqauh was traveling to another community within the Half Assin area for a program when the vehicle she was moving with had an accident. She was badly injured and that led to her death. Most residents in the area were taken by surprise after she was pronounced dead. Her funeral is currently taking place at Ekpu where she hails from and friends, loved ones, family members, and many others cannot hold their tears.

The body of Freda Freezy as she is affectionately called was laid in state for sympathizers to file past it. The body was later conveyed to the community cemetery at Epku for final burial. The sad situation of Freda Tachie Danquah adds up to the many Ghanaians who have sadly died in road accidents. Freda was only 20 years but was not spared. Road users must take precautions to reduce road accidents.
