New IGP, Dr. Dampare opens up on the secret to his recent success stories in the Police Service

The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has given what in his view, is the antidote in clumping down on criminal activities and promoting peace and security in the country.

If this advice and "weapon" is observed and used, he is of firm believe that the security forces would be able to work in harmony and nothing can drag their good name in the mud.

According to him, a united security service nationwide is what can cause the magic. Dr. Dampare was of the view that when the security apparatus is united, gathering and sharing of intelligence would be organized, in depth, and easily transferred to their counterparts within the army, airforce, navy, prisons, immigration services department, and the national security.

He mentioned that the unity his men are doing well to hold on to nationwide among themselves and their sister security agencies is what has translated into the recent activities that have been hailed and he is of firm believe that should all the members of the service hold unto this artillery, it would guard them from being divided as their respective departments would be praised for their work done individually.

He made this known when he was given the nod by the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo confirmed him as the 23rd IGP of the country.

He therefore used the avenue given him to admonish his compatriots to be steadfast in their line of duty and also make sure that they hold unto unifying their members from the top to the bottom.

Dr. George Akuffo Dampare is the youngest member within the Police Service to have been appointed as an Inspector General of Police.

He took over from his former boss, Mr. James Oppong Boanuh.
