(Photos) Imagine what our parents passed through just by looking at these pictures.

In Ghana, as elsewhere in Africa, the slave trade involved the relocation and displacement of many people, some of whom remained in or were enslaved within Africa itself.

Mostslaves in Africa were captured in wars or in surprise raids on villages. Adults were bound and gagged and infants were sometimes thrown into sacks.

slavery on the entire African Continent really reck havoc as millions of people were displaced, killed, maltreated and other inhumane atrocities.

Some states were completely destroyed and their populations decimated as they were absorbed by rivals. Millions of Africans were forcibly removed from their homes, and towns and villages were depopulated.

Indeed our forefathers really endured and suffered great in the hands of those that called themselves our liberators but rather they were our oppressors.

Below are selected images that depicts the harsh reality of slavery our forefathers endured:

Our forefathers truly suffered, just glancing through these images carefully will put tears in your eyes.
