The eyewitness, Frank Adusei in narrating the incident to Kwasi Ntiamoah said, unfortunately, a contractor who was driving along with a truck at the Bantama Roundabout failed to stop the truck due to a brake failure and prompt the civilians on the roadside to stay away from the road.
The civilians managed to escape from the road and the truck rammed into a sprinter bus and scattered the traders' goods but no casualties were recorded.
Thirty minutes (30mins) later the contractor went into the truck again and took off with it.
Due to the brake failure, he crashed into a pharmacy at the same spot and the truck somersaulted and a huge metal befell on him.
The residents tried their possible best to rescue the contractor and finally, they took him out of the truck on Friday, May 27, 2022, at dawn but the sad news is that he could not make it.
The contractor was confirmed dead and the deceased was deposited at the mortuary.
