A dead body of a man believed to be in his early fifty's was found in a river in Asiakwa on Thursday, 7th July 2021.
An eye witness said they found the body in the early hours of 7:30 am this morning.
He said he was informed this morning about the incident and he went there to see to it himself. He later went to report the incident to the police service at Asiakwa.
The eye witness said the police commander came with another officer to help them retrieve the body.
He said the man had cuts on the mouth and blood was oozing out of his nose.
According to the eye witness, the man must have been killed before he was dumped into the river.
It was reported that there were people staying at the river bank which means if he had struggled with anybody the inhabitants would have heard it.
The police service of Asiakwa said investigations into the killing of the man has commenced.
