The fast rising rate of robbery in Ghana and the high rate of accident on our roads are becoming alarming. There are numerous robbery as well as a number of accidents which goes on as days pass by and needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.
The insecurity in the country is also attributed to high rate of unemployment in the country.
Racecourse (Accra) 28 June 2021
The police arrested one Solomon Boadu for the murder of a 73 year old physically challenged kwesi Wiafe. According to the Police, he was arrested on the ceiling of the deceased few minutes after the cold blooded murder.
This suspect has been on the Police most wanted list after he robbed a car dealer of his bag containing an unspecified amount of money and vehicle documents at CP Roundabout. Suspect is currently in police custody awaiting trial.
Bullion Van robbery
A gang of 6 also robbed and shot dead one Police Officer and two others in Jamestown. Ghanaians reacted massively on this particular robbery and questioned the state of insecurity in the country. The police are still on a manhunt to apprehend robbers for prosecution. The IGP in a letter, instructed that all banks should acquire a correct bullion van in carting monies to their destinations.
This incidents above took lives of innocent people. Let's look at some recent accident that occurred on the Airport road, another one that have been occurring on Cape Coast and Accra - Kumasi highway of which we are aware has claimed alot of lives.
All these happenings needs urgent attention by the government and even the individual as well. Most of this happening mostly are caused by human activities which must be stopped as soon as possible.
