The families are left traumatized. Their hopes are lost and cannot comprehend how it all started and ended. Their children are gone and it was not just an ordinary death. Their deaths were not natural, someone killed them and packaged their remains in rubber bags, and stores them in the refrigerator. It is difficult for any parent to understand this kind of episode.
For the past one week, the community of Alaska Abesim has been left in a state of total shock, different groups of people could be seen discussing the embarrassment Richard Appiah has brought on the community. They wish there was a way to bring Richard Appiah out from the Police Cell to be paraded before the entire community and answer questions one after the other but that option is currently not available.
Richard is in the custody of the Ghana Police Service but since the case is still running, he led the police to the crime scene to help them in retrieving other parts of the bodies that were not seen in the refrigerator. At the back of his house, there is a bushy area where he dumped the remains that were not relevant for his purpose.
The Police are reported to have retrieved intestines and other parts of the victims. Obviously, Richard did not need those parts so he had to dispose of them, maybe, they were too irrelevant for his purpose. But something was missing in all the episodes. The private parts of the young boys were allegedly not found in the refrigerator.
The police looked through the parts in the bush and the private parts were not there as well. They emptied the septic tank in the house and searched through the waste but the private parts were allegedly still not found. It is only Richard who can tell the police where he has taken these vital organs to. It has been long rumored that such organs are used for ritual purposes and in some cases for riches.
So could it be that Richard has already used these vital human organs of his victims for rituals? This is a huge question that demands an immediate answer. Now, the case has been transferred to the police headquarters in the Greater Accra Region, and already, information has it that Richard has started mentioning names of his accomplices.
Even though the police have refused to make those names public for security reasons, they will all be arrested one day. The only consolation for the affected families is that justice will finally be served and the soul of their beloved children will have a peaceful rest.
