Kasoa a popular suburb in Accra is known for many bad reason which has recently increased it status as one of the most dangerous areas in Accra where most criminals embark on their bad activities.
Some of the crimes includes the shooting of guns during elections, killing of a 20years boy for rituals by his friends, high level of land guard activities, beating of soldiers by land guards. All these bad activities had not only given it a bad name but has also served as ground for criminals to operate with much difficulty. They circumvent all security measures in other to continue their practice.
Based on this bad popularity, joy news went to the community to conduct documentary about the reasons why they are being so popular when it comes to crime. Some people who agreed to talk to the news team made it know that, most of the criminal are those who live in and around the refugee camp hence and that, due to the impression that people have about the community, they mostly come there to look for criminals to hire for robbery or to carry out assassination for them.
Kelvin Jackson, who happens to be an ex convict and a Liberian says his people are not criminals and that Liberians are peace loving people so they only living in Ghana peacefully waiting for the time UN will tell them to go back to their country. He therefore adviced that people should stop tagging refugees living in Budunbura camp as criminals.
