Good news From Former President John Dramani Mahama Hits Coastal Parts Of The Volta Region

Former President John Dramani Mahama has come to the rescue of the people of the Volta Region who are living in and around the coastal area as he donates relief items to tidal waves victim.

Former President John Dramani Mahama has donated assorted relief items to the victims who suffers from last weekend's storm surge in communities along the coast of the Volta Region.

Last weekend, a massive storm surge has flooded homes in communities in Ketu South and Keta and collapsed buildings, including homes and school blocks in the Anloga District and rendered about 4,000 people homeless in the area.

Mr Dramani at the forecourt of Keta Municipal Assembly on Saturday said he could not sit and look at the people without responding to the cries of the people.

According to the former president, the items were secured through the help of some Ghanaians to support the tidal wave victims.

Among the items that the former president presented are 1,000 bags of five kg rice, 3,000 pieces of mattresses, 2,000 pieces of canned fish, 2,000 pieces of canned tomatoes, and 2,000 litres of cooking oil. The items were presented to the Members of Parliament of the various Constituencies for onward distribution to the victims.
