Only a few hours ago, Ghana police apprehended another suspected armed robber in Adeiso, in the Eastern region. This individual is rumored to be Notorious and a murderer. According to the police, he has been wanted for suspected murder, car snatching, and violent land guard activities.
The robber's name is Godfred Tettey. During his arrest, which was led by police intelligence, the following items were discovered with him: two pump machine guns, one locally manufactured pistol, and one new foreign manufactured pistol.
According to the police, this man's arrest is part of the police administration's commitment to weeding out criminals from society. Ghanaians were encouraged to help them in this endeavor.
It's just unfortunate that criminal activity is on the rise at this time. One might wonder what exactly is causing all of this. What motivates a young man to take a gun and go rob another person of his hard-earned money? This is pure nefariousness. This is why they are always chastised by the public when they are apprehended.
Below are some of the comments of Ghanaians after the arrest:
“I pray that no big man will call for his bail immediately without any court action neither court will rule to ask for a substantial surety with a good stand for his bail”
“Tell Dr Dampare that he’s on my pray list. I will always pray for him for more strength n good health and the police team.God be you and your men. Keep up the good work.”
“Dr Dampare and Ghana Police...thank you for showing Ghanaians respect we have been denied of in years through your swift dissemination of information. We appreciate the work you do...kudos”
“Don't even bother taking him to court, the look on his face shows that he's fed up with stealing and so he's ready for nsawam”
The arrest was announced on the Ghana Police Service's official Facebook page. We hope that these robbers will be deterred and will stop their criminal activities.
