Residents of McCarthy Down were put in shock and state of mourning when three (3) children died in a fire outbreak in a kiosk which seems to be their sleeping place.
The sad incident occurred yesterday October, 4_ 2021 at 9:00pm at McCarthy down bola road last stop.
According to eye witnesses, Akos who is a sister of the children’s mother and Aziz the father in-law's wife, the mother of the children Akosua Frimpomaa locked up the three children to go buy some things from a nearby shop.
According to them their mother before leaving lighted a candle and mosquito coil in the room.
Sadly, upon her return, she discovered that the kiosk in which her children were sleeping burnt down to ashes.
The children could not escape hence got consumed by the fire.
Intelligence gathered indicated that the three children are the only children that Madam Akosua Frimpomaa has.
The children are Kwadjo, 3 years, Ama 2 years, and the last born Kwabena who is a year old.
The body of the three (3) Children have been deposited at Police Hospital pending further investigation.
