Sad News Coming In from the Western Region of Ghana indicates that the dead body of a Captain has been retrieved. This happened after a Navy vessel carrying Navy officers and workers sunk in the deep waters around Takoradi and Elmina sea boundaries. The vessel in question is known as Menghxin 11.
According to Joynews and Asaase radio, some of the Navy Officers were able to swim into another vessel called Menghxin 6. Notwithstanding, some of them are also missing in the sea.
Eye witness explained to the media that, they had a very plenty and heavy catch of fishes in their net. While they were trying to pull it into their vessel, it lost balance and started to sink. The eye witness was quick to add that, while they were trying to help themselves, it started raining with heavy thunderstorms . That worsened their plight leading to the total sink of the vessel.
The captain of the vessel fell in the sea and got drowned. These who can swim started to swim out to save their lives. Those who couldn't swim are reportedly missing.
