It was tears and grief when the aboboyaa rider arrived at the location to convey the body of another young boy who has died under bizarre circumstances at Abesim to the mortuary for autopsy and preservation. The Abesim community has for some time now been inundated with sad news.
Two young boys were recently buried after their bodies were found in a refrigerator, residents are still mourning their passing and yet another person has died. Hundreds of residents thronged to a river in the area after the lifeless body of a twenty-two-year-old boy was retrieved. He tried to wash his body in the river after a hard day’s work and unfortunately met his untimely death by drowning.
Pains and cries took over the day after his mother got to the scene to identify the body of her son. She could not hold on to her tears after she finally confessed that the lifeless body was her son. Solomon Armo was working to save some money to enable him to continue his education but he was unable to save himself from drowning in the river.
It was a sad scene when the lifeless body of Armo was carried in a black rubber bag. Aboboyaa was already there to carry his body to the morgue. His mother who could not comprehend was in deep pain because she never thought such bad news would befall her home at this moment in time.
Apart from her, friends and other members of the community who know the deceased are still trying to come to terms with his sudden demise. The crime officer in the area who led the rescue mission Superintendent Kennedy Adusei confirms that the police have begun investigations to know the real cause of the death of the young boy.
It seems the Abesim community has been in the news recently for all the bad reasons. The death of this latest boy has compelled residents to begin calling on the relevant authorities to intervene for the mysterious deaths to reduce in the area.
