The Electricity Company Of Ghana Has Released The Third Phase Power Outage Schedule

The Ghana Electricity Company (ECG) has announced the third phase of its power outage schedule which will be commencing on Monday, June 28 and will be lasting for 22days - ending on July 19th

In a press statement which was released on Wednesday, 23rd of June, the Electricity Company of Ghana made it known that the incoming power outage schedule will be done in collaboration with the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCO), and their duty is to help facilitate the work of the Contractors to improve the power supply reliability and system voltages

Due to that, the load of power to the Trassaco bulk supply point (BSP) will be managed to aid the construction of towers at the Volta, Accra East and Achimota substations

The Director of Communications at the ECG, Mr. William Boateng has explained that the planned power outage is to help complete the stringing and commissioning of a new double circuit 16KV from the Volta to Achimota transmission line . Again, he said this project will lead to a shortfall in transmission of power to Accra between the hours of 6pm to 12 midnight each day

According to him, the past two phases was successful so with all hope and faith, he believes the upcoming phase three is also going to be of a great success. At the end of his speech, he stated that the ECG Sincerely Apologies for any inconveniences this power outage schedule will cause but with that doing, it is eventually going to improve upon the service they provide to the country as a whole
