Assin Broyedur to Akenkansu Road is the only road connecting the Central Region and the Eastern Region.
This road have been in a deplorable state for quite long time without seeing any face lift.
The current state of the road has increased the number of hypertension cases that may lead to several death if prompt action of the road is not taken.
We pay higher transport fares, business in the communities has reduced drastically, farmers crying of rotten food stuffs due to poor nature of the road and higher maintenance cost on our vehicles.
Upon several meetings and petitions to the Road Minister, Hon. Amoako Atta, the MCE, Hon. Nicholas Fifi Baako, Director of Highways and our MP. Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who even expresses his worried and promised bringing back the contractor to site has also failed us.
These has prompted we the Youth in the communities to call on our chiefs to take a quick steps to ask the authorities why our road has been neglected.
We are pleading with all the stakeholders to come to our aid to fix the deplorable nature of the road.
Finally if we don't see any serious action on the road by the end of July, 2021, then we the Youth will advise ourselves.
