Ghanaian youth are the most stressful, Johnnie Hughes

The NPP government unfulfilled campaign promise of renting allowance is under scrutiny.

On his daily ranting, "Johnny's Bite" TV3 seasoned journalist, Johnny Hughes has revisited the NPP "rent policy" which was promised but not fulfilled. He queried the NPP government for the failure to implement the housing policy.

Mr Hughes said this on Tuesday 17th August 2022 during his morning ranting on Tv3. Many young people are struggling with renting issues in Ghana, as cost of living keeps on escalating, according to Hughes . In his view young men in Ghana are the most stressful people, and are facing the brunt.

The government is faced with backlog of nabco, national service personnel, teacher trainees, and youth in afforestation salary arrears for several months. The inability of delayed payments to the young working people is inhibiting the ability to afford or even pay for essential needs as housing.

The NPP campaign policy for renting allowance was a campaign policy designed to cushion the majority Ghanaian youth who are not in the position to fund their housing arrangement, especially when they have to settle down with job issues after graduating from universities.
