A military officer of the 155 Armoured Regiment at Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality has been reported to have involved in a ghastly accident on the night of September 23rd, 2021 on the Damongo to Canteen Hospital.
His motorbike crashed into a stationery tractor on the road without reflectors which led to the accident, leaving him unconscious. He was rescued and rushed to the Damongo Catholic hospital by some good Samaritans which he was attended to by health professionals.
The accident was a severe one to the extent that blood was oozing from both his eyes and nose which doctors think he had a compound fracture in the femur
The cause of the accident can be attributed to the poor lighting system on the Damongo to Canteen Hospital main road.
The officer is reportedly to have suffered fractured leg and currently responding to treatment at the Damongo Catholic hospital
