Woman And Daughter Arrested Selling “Weed Toffee” To School Children

In Ghana, it is illegal to sell “weed” or smoke it. But most people have decided to do it in private seems it has not been legalized in the country.

According to information gathered, a woman identified as Aisha Tahiru, 45, and her daughter were arrested and currently in the police custody for selling“ weed toffee’ to school children at Sakasaka.

According to the police, some people gave them the hit about what the woman and daughter were doing at Sakasaka. Therefore, the police have also decided to follow up, and upon their arrival they were able to retrieve about 400 pieces of the laced toffee after police search was conducted at the shop and in their rooms.

The woman and her daughter are currently under investigation as the Temale police said investigation is ongoing to arrest the accomplices.
